Information alone is not enough, a through out regular safety inspection need to be done/maintain to ensure safety work place. also workers ethic will play major role as every defect(even small one) need to be report as problems can be solve early rather than ignoring which could lead to bigger problem.Thus safety and work ethics are important and need to be among our local future nuclear engineer/worker
ReplyDeleteBTW, at least for now Malaysia doesn't need a nuclear power plant due to sufficient amount of electric energy, but for future intention, we can now implement knowledge of nuclear energy into our young citizen mind to prepare for the upcoming nuclear technology as a replacement energy compare to coal/fuel/gas power plant(due to their shortage energy resources)
ReplyDeleteyes..information alone is not enough, right now we don't have any nuclear power plant .We need to focus about the education first to get support from Malaysian. Actually, what Malaysian think about nuclear is bomb. So they need information. Then after we have our own nuclear power plant, then we can talk about safety and work ethics and so forth. -fikri-
ReplyDeleteyes correct, we need to straight up malaysian citizen mind that nuclear is a good alternative rather than destructive. Those tragedies we can learned that safety implementation is very important in preventing any tragedy.In my opinion, the need of nuclear technology information need to be seeded into early stage education for example secondary school.
